Twelve Questions You Should Ask When Choosing a Wine Cellar Cooling Unit:

  1. What is the KoolR’s true power rating? BTU ratings refer to the size of the compressor. Real cooling power refers to the size of both the fans and the coils. ChillR has been tested in controlled conditions against a leading competitor with the exact same compressor size. The coils and airflow were no contest! ChillR outperformed!

  2. What about key components? A lot more is spent on components like stainless steel, German compressors, and hi-flow axial fans. Others use offshore parts and proceed to charge more for their wine cooling units!

  3. What about unit certification? Shockingly, most wine cellar cooling units are not certified. Every product from Vintage Keeper is both CSA and CE-Certified using the most meticulous international standards.

  4. How about noise? Vintage Keeper’s ChillR and Tuscany series wine cabinets are engineered for quiet with the exclusive Acoustic Isolation Chamber. This unit produces much greater airflow with far less noise than others who allege to “whisper”.

  5. Is it necessary to have digital controls? Completely! Electronic controls take full advantage of efficiency and assure longer life. Vintage Keeper controls are smaller and more advanced than competing brands with their routine smart-sensing and self-adjustment for optimal power and efficiency. Analog controls cannot match this precision. As well, ChillR digital controls with LED come standard and not as an upgrade!

  6. Which temperatures do the controls measure? Air or liquid? Vintage Keeper can measure both air and liquid. Others measure liquid only with using analog devices and do not match our quick response or constant liquid temperatures.

  7. Does the unit have vibration isolation? Yes! Only Vintage Keeper, with its multi-point isolation, removes vibration of all major components and the wine cabinet exterior.

  8. What sort of de-icing process does the wine cooler unit engage in? The coils of a properly designed wine cellar system will never go below 35F/1.7C and does not require de-icing. Undersized coils freeze up and strip your wine cellar of valuable humidity!

  9. Where does the condensate go? Many wine cellar cooling systems use condensate evaporators which are not energy efficient and boil away the excess condensation. Vintage Keeper’s wine cooling units use the condensate to cool the system and increase efficiency. This both saves energy and sustains higher humidity levels in your wine cellar.

  10. Is the wine cooler resistant to corrosion?
Aging your wines generates acetic acid, which shortens the life of a coil. ChillR’s E-coated coils, hermetically-sealed controller and cabinet give extensive corrosion protection.

  11. And warranties? Vintage Keeper’s limited warranty covers the whole system, parts and labour, for one full year.

  12. How about price? Vintage Keeper has an advanced design and all the features and engineering you would expect in a higher priced unit with the best value on the market.

A new standard of quiet has been established by Vintage Keeper for wine cooling systems. Innovative acoustic engineering creates a unit unlike any you've ever heard before.
